Parking in Belgrade

Parking in Belgrade works through a zone system on the streets and public garages. Below are the key information and tips on how to quickly find parking.

Street Zones

Belgrade has multiple parking zones (Red, Yellow, Green, Purple, Blue...). Zones differ in maximum stay time and price. At each end of the street there are signs with the zone name and payment instructions.

• Red zone: shortest stay (city center)
• Yellow and Green: longer stay than red
• Purple/Blue: extended stay/long-term stays (outside the city center)

Payment is possible on weekdays and Saturdays (Sunday is mostly free in most zones – check the sign), and outside working hours parking is free.

How to Pay for Parking

• SMS message to the zone number (listed on the street sign)
• Apps: Parking Servis, EasyPark, mParking
• At kiosk/automated machine (where available)

Tips:

• Always check the start/validity period of the zone on the street sign
• Extend parking before expiration if allowed in the zone
• Keep proof of payment (SMS/app)

Public Parking Lots and Garages

For longer stays or stays in the center, we recommend public garages:

• Obilićev venac (center, pedestrian zone Knez Mihailova)
• Zeleni venac (center, near Brankov Bridge)
• Studentski trg / Simina
• Masarikova / Mostar / Vukov spomenik

Advantages of garages:

• Safer and often more convenient for longer stays
• Fixed price per hour or daily ticket
• Less risk of fines/"boot"

Prohibited Areas and Fines

Do not park on pedestrian crossings, sidewalks without marked spaces, in front of garages, on green areas or places marked with a prohibition sign. Improperly parked vehicles may be blocked ("boot") or towed – costs are high.

Tips for City Break Apartment Guests

• Check if your apartment offers a reserved space or nearby garage for an additional fee
• If arriving on weekends/evenings – it's easier to find street parking (outside zone working hours)
• For the city center during rush hour – public garage is often the fastest and most reliable option
