Autumn in Belgrade is lovely, a bit cold, but still somehow sentimental and nice. Rains are very usual for this part of the year so don’t be surprised. That’s why our lovely Belgrade apartments will cheer you up and give you warm and comfort as soon as you step into them, not just because they are comfortable and warm but because of all the little details and interior design that makes them lovable.
Nina is a lovely one-bedroom apartment surrounded with three beautiful Belgrade parks – Tašmajdan and Pionirski park are north of the apartment and Manjež is in the south.
Very cool thing about it is that every day, in just 5 minutes of walking, you can have a perfect cup of coffee in famous cafe Šansa (Chance) in Tašmajdan. During the 60s and 70s this was the only place in Belgrade that has been working all night. It is very old and famous and it used to be a gathering place for Belgrade’s cultural elite at that time. Famous poets, writers, journalist and artists were among regular guests. But, this place also has other, more important historical significance. Turkish edict (or hatiserif) was formally read at this place. It is the most important document in Serbian history that represents liberation and autonomy from Ottoman empire.
After you had that important history lesson you can visit a nearby Orthodox church, one of the biggest in the country – St. Mark’s Church built in 1940.
If you are more of a science person, don’t worry, there is something for you as well – a nearby Nikola Tesla’s museum! It is located just two streets away from the apartment. It is dedicated to honoring life and work of this famous scientist. In it, you will have a chance to see memorial exhibition with documents, photos and other parts of Tesla’s life and also an interactive one where you will have a chance to try out some experiments.
A little further from that is a Natural History museum, one of the most important museums of its kind in the South East Europe. It preserves collections of natural history of Serbia as well as other Balkan countries and even examples of flora and fauna which no longer can be found in the country due to human influence.
City center is only 10-15 minutes by foot and if you are in a hurry there are a lot of buses going towards the Republic square.
As we already mentioned it is one bedroom apartment in Belgrade, ideal for two persons. Completely renovated and very bright it will be a perfect shelter after a long rainy walk. Of course, this place is ideal for warmer months too – it has A/C and a terrace where you can hang out as well.
Spacious living room has plenty of nice wooden details so it feels warm and pleasant just like at home.
Bedroom is decorated with plants and the green walls complement the sense of peace. If you have some work to do there is a working desk so don’t worry! WiFi is also available 24/7. Cable TV, hairdryer and washing machine are all at your disposal so feel free to make yourself at home.
We hope you will enjoy your stay. Be sure to chek out our other apartments here.
